Who is responsible
101 Experiences is responsible for the personal data processed through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email post@frankrike.no and include “101 Experiences privacy” in the subject line.
We do not sell personal data. The site is designed to keep browsing possible without an account.
Information we use
When you browse, our server and hosting provider may receive ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time and security logs. We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic such as page views, referral sources, countries, devices and browsers. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not track people across websites or days. When you rate or favourite an experience, the site uses a random visitor identifier. The server receives that identifier and stores only a protected hash with the vote or favourite, not the readable identifier itself.

Browser storage, not a hidden profile
The shared 101 Experiences application currently uses browser local storage rather than first-party cookies for its saved features. These entries remain on the device until you clear site data or your browser removes them.

External services
Some features need content from other providers. Those providers receive technical connection data under their own privacy terms when the feature is loaded.
- Plausible AnalyticsPrivacy-friendly aggregate traffic measurement loads with each page. Plausible uses no cookies or persistent identifiers and processes analytics data in the European Union.
- EsriMap tiles are requested when an interactive country map is shown.
- WikipediaArticle data is requested only when you open the 101 Experiences Wiki panel.
- Trip.com and GetYourGuideBooking and activity content is loaded after you press a booking button. Affiliate parameters identify 101 Experiences and the experience that led to the click.
- Social and email sharingThe relevant sharing service opens only after you choose its icon. Copy link stays inside your browser.
External providers may process data outside Norway or the European Economic Area. Their own terms describe their safeguards, retention and independent use of data.
Why we process data
We use necessary technical information to deliver and secure the website and pursue our legitimate interest in maintaining a reliable service. Saved browser preferences are created by your direct choice. Ratings and favourites are processed to provide the feature you requested and to build the public collection ranking.
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for those purposes, legal obligations, security or dispute handling. Local browser data remains under your browser’s control.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy of personal data connected to you. Because the service deliberately avoids accounts and stores server-side votes under a protected identifier, we may need information from your device to locate a record.
